Inside all of these buildings and distributed among them there are thirty-two rooms, as well as lounges, a restaurant and a coffee bar, among others, characterized by the combination of new technology and exquisite decoration giving each room a unique ambiance. The hotel houses the best collection of tapestries in the Canaries, with pieces from the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth century from Flemish and French ateliers; a valuable art collection with works from the fifteenth to the twentieth century, covering a wide variety of genres and techniques with their high quality as a common denominator; sculptures, furniture and Chinese porcelain from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty; European furniture from the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth century; delicate religious wood carvings from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century and all kinds of different luxurious objects. It holds a unique position in the artistic landscape of the islands. Within its walls, every corner becomes a gratifying surprise to any art lover and evokes ancient times, when the inhabitants of this estate surrounded themselves with the most exquisite objects of art from Europe, America and, via the Philippines, from Asia, all thanks to trade and commerce.
The garden, located in the former garden of the estate, contains exotic plants and botanical rarities distributed irregularly over flower beds, with a pool that evokes ancient ponds which, aside from being used for irrigation, had a clear decorative function. In one of the best climates on Earth, trees, shrubs, flowers and plants from all latitudes coexist to form one of those ancient acclimation gardens which contributed to spreading rare plant species brought from America and Africa over the eighteenth and nineteenth century and which today delight the visitors who enjoy the warmth of this exceptional climate in a unique environment. For irrigation, water of extraordinary quality, from the galleries and springs of the National Park of La Caldera de Taburiente, is conducted through a modern irrigation network which uses ditches and ancient aqueducts. Yet another example of the idiosyncrasy of an island where man lives in perfect harmony with nature in all its abundance.
Furthermore the hotel offers in its restaurant "El Sitio" an honest cuisine where the rich tradition of local gastronomy and international influences blend, bringing out flavours and textures of products of outstanding quality, which often come from that same region with grand farming traditions.
